Our Group Office Team

  • Anton as The ALFA Group's Founder and CEO, Anton has resided in Hong Kong for 30 years.

    During that time, he spent a decade of his 15-year career in Executive Search covering the Investment Banking and Legal sectors. Having been previously based in London, he then worked with clients both across Asia and Internationally from his Hong Kong base. His final role seeing him leading the APAC region for a UK listed Search Firm. 


    During this period, he had made personal investments into Real Estate and created a portfolio of international properties. This then led to him transitioning fully into this sector as an entrepreneur, spending the next 20 years covering a number of private and client driven projects as both an investor and advisor. These were predominantly targeted at the developing luxury real estate and hospitality sector across Asia and Europe. 

    Seeing the increasing need for ESG initiatives within this industry, he also became involved in several new 'Green Tech' projects, something that he continues to assist in developing to this day. 


    These include products within the Nanotechnology, Organic Waste and Plastic Alternative spaces. Anton studied both Applied Biological Sciences and Business Studies at University in the UK.

  • Thomas’s career has seen him garner years of experience in Senior Management roles in Asia and the Middle East. He has covered areas of Risk, Legal and Compliance as Group Head for a Supply Chain Group, with other experience seeing him responsible for the building of business development teams for a major US Financial Services company.


     Most recently Thomas has been seen in a C-Suite (COO) role advising business clients in the areas of Trade Finance, Project Funding and Risk Management. 


    Although now based in Hong Kong, he remains actively engaged in various Indian Cultural Societies and Business Groups. Thomas gained a degree in Economics from Kerala University (India). 

  • Jodie is head of Operation, Jodie provides executive administrative support and assistance across the whole team.

    She has a cross-functional skill set that includes digital marketing, design, editing and event coordination. 

    Jodie adds to her prior technology skills gained working for a major European MNC , with more recent experience  managing CRM databases and SEO functions. 

    Jodie studied Business & Finance at University (UK) 

  • Theo is our Marketing and Media Manager. Having previously completed stints with ALFA Investors in 2016-2017 and ALFA Eco Tech in 2020-2021 as an intern, he has now come aboard full-time. Theo has valuable experience in the social media space, in 2019 he worked for Dugout, a social media platform founded by an elite group of International football clubs drawn from around the world, with a mission to help them improve the monetisation of their online media presence.


    Following his practical experiences, Theo pursued and completed a degree in Business & Management, graduating in 2024. He brings a fresh perspective to our team, combining academic knowledge with hands-on experience in marketing and media. Theo’s expertise includes digital marketing, content creation, social media strategy, audience engagement and increasingly the application of the latest AI software being deployed in this sector.


    He has demonstrated a keen ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. Theo is passionate about leveraging new media to enhance brand visibility and engagement. His proactive approach and innovative thinking are valuable assets to our marketing efforts. 

Our APAC Team

  • Paul is a globally experienced executive with decades of knowledge gained in building businesses across Europe, USA, the Middle East and Africa. His most recent experience has seen him spend over 20 years focused on the Asia Pacific region. 

    His major achievements have been made possible by his strategic, practical and 'out of the box' thinking. He is a proven solutions provider to colleagues, investors, boards and management and a highly successful originator of business. He designs, executes and completes plans in a timely and resourceful manner, with a drive tuned to constantly outperform expectations and targets. 

    He has a strong EQ and has built teams capable of high achievement, reduced staff turnover by engagement and fostering teamwork and a collegial environment. He believes strongly in succession management and acts as a mentor to colleagues across multi-cultural dimensions, encouraging them to be their best. 

    Academically he has a Law degree from Leeds University (UK), an MBA from Bradford University (UK) and a Doctorate from Newcastle University (Australia) in Sustainability, Green Buildings and Corporate Governance. 

  • Daniel Stephen Collins- Seasoned hotelier and developer with over 30 years of experience in hospitality, real estate, development, and land investment.

    Daniel has joined the team at Anamaya a luxury residential resort project to be developed on Koh Samui. Consisting of luxury villas and apartments, a resort hotel, beach club, retail and leisure facilities. Anamaya aims to set a new benchmark for lifestyle resort development on Samui. Daniel will be primarily responsible for overseeing the physical development and construction of Anamaya.

    Before Anamaya Daniel has been developing Sichon Taloy, a luxury lifestyle development of absolute beach front villas ranging in size from 250 to over 1,000 sqm in Sichon, Nakhon Si Thammarat Thailand.

    From 2010 to 2020, Daniel was VP Development & Construction for Minor Hotels’ Anantara Vacation Club, responsible for acquisition, design development and construction of vacation club resort properties. 

    Prior to Minor Hotels Daniel was engaged in consultancy and development of various resort and villa projects in Asia including the Elysian, an award-winning design hotel in Bali’s fashionable Seminyak.

    He started his career in hospitality with the Savoy Group of Hotels and Spencer House in London before moving to Asia to Join Aman Resorts

  • Gareth having arrived in Hong Kong in 1993, Gareth has worked in the real estate sector ever since. For the majority of his career, he was a Director at Colliers International (1996 to 2019) in the International Property Project Marketing Division. There, he gained two decades of experience working with tier one developers selling investment grade property in London and other key UK locations, as well as Australia, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries.

    As part of his role, he managed the project marketing sales teams, specializing in new build residential. He has a solid sales track record and extensive expertise in conducting exhibition sales.

    He is a keen advocate for expanding his network of private clients from the markets of Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the broader Asian region. 

    As well as the traditionalopportunities he can introduce to them, he can also helpto identify prime investments in new build residential,provide advice on various property investment strategies, such as forward funding, joint venture, PRS, value add, and more.

  • The vast majority of Marco’s career has been in audit and M&A advisory related roles in financial services. After initially starting with KPMG in Amsterdam in 1990, focusing on banking and insurance, he joined KPMG’s practice in Kiev, Ukraine in 1996 where he was closely involved in growing the office from initially 8 staff to close to 200 by mid-2000.

    Marco transferred to KPMG in Hong Kong in May 2000, going back into financial services audit. In 2004, he started leading the financial services M&A advisory practice for KPMG China, a practice he built from scratch into a team of 15 people by the beginning of 2010.

    Later in 2010, he joined Towers Watson (now Willis Towers Watson) as M&A advisory leader responsible for the development and execution of Towers Watson’s M&A advisory strategy for Asia-Pacific.

    Subsequently Marco has held business development / general management roles with three alternative investment service providers, first in rare stamps/coins, followed by Asian luxury lifestyle property, and currently in rare whisky with a focus on cask whisky.

    Marco is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

  • Paul has over 35 years of experience in the global print and packaging markets. Predominantly in the print media and  eco packaging. He is a marketing expert having developed brands across the globe, experience spanning predominantly focusing  on the news papers and magazine sectors in Europe, Asia , America and Africa. He has been based  in Hong Kong for the last 30 years as his base of operations.

    Paul is a serial entrepreneur with focusing on Packaging related eco products for the retails and garment industries.

    Specialising in the the green sector for packaging he has been instrumental developing a number of innovative soluble plastic packaging products. This is a passion of his and has lead to the latest innovation of  water soluble packing tapes.

  • Paul is a Hong Kong based UK Chartered Automotive Engineer with over 35 years of automotive commercial vehicle industry experience.

    With the last 10 years, seeing him primarily focus on new energy vehicle (EV / hydrogen-cell) and Batteries Technologies with associated charging infrastructure experience.

    Having been based in Hong Kong for over 18 years, Paul has a wealth of experience from European, Asian, Indian and North American markets and has project managed new product launches in all these areas including the design and development of hybrid buses for the Hong Kong market.

  • Lincoln has years of experience working with both individuals and corporations on developing 'Human Capital'. Initially that experience was garnered within the Global Executive Search sector, with specific areas of focus on the Investment Banking and Legal Sectors. This would cover stockbrokers, investment banks, fund management companies, and private equity firms, alongside some FMCG and Law Firm clients across the Asia Pacific region. 

    Most recently Lincoln has seen him continue his work within a 'people' focused sector but now his mission is to help clients improve their organisations by being creative in nurturing their people into better leaders, stronger teams, and sharper thinkers. His specialties are within the scope of career management, conflict resolution, leadership development, and team building. 

    Lincoln has a degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University (US) and an MBA in Managerial Statistics from California State University (US). 

    Along with a Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary (US) and a PhD from the Australian College of Theology. 

    Linguistically Lincoln speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish.

  • Nick Sawhney, a permanent resident of Hong Kong born in 1969, is a management professional with over 30 years of international experience in financial solutions, supply chain management, and multi-cultural business processes. He began his career in India in the garments industry, managing global supply chains across South and South East Asia. He was later transferred to Bangladesh, where he gained experience in geopolitical risk management and overseeing factories with over 2000 workers.

    In 1997, Nick moved to Hong Kong and navigated the 1998 global financial crisis while managing marketing, sourcing, and office operations. In 1999, he founded a trading company sourcing from China, South Korea, and Vietnam, achieving a turnover of US$ 70M and negotiating financial solutions worth US$ 25M. Since 2017, he has been working as an independent business consultant, providing corporate and financial solutions, advising on company formation, financing, trade facilities, and cash loans.

    Nick holds an MBA in International Management from the International University of Japan (1993-95), where he was awarded a full scholarship. He also earned a P.G. Diploma in International Marketing from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University (1990-91), and a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) from the College of Business Studies, Delhi University, specializing in Marketing (1987-90). He is fluent in English and Hindi, with basic proficiency in Bengali, and beginner-level skills in Japanese and Cantonese. Nick is a member of the Rotary Club in Hong Kong and is passionate about sports, meeting people, and charity work with Feed HKG.

  • Oliver is a highly experienced Managing Director/Senior Consultant, with a demonstrated history of commercial and strategic application, driving sales and marketing for both multinationals and SMEs. Skilled in FMCG Management, Retail Management, Sports Retailing, Property Business Development, and Marketing Strategy, 

    Oliver has a wealth of experience that he brings in his current advisory capacity. He is a strong business development professional and has conducted business across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and is now based in Hong Kong. 

    Oliver graduated from the Liverpool College of Art & Design. He is also an experienced Aviator with thousands of miles flown as a licensed Pilot.

    Anthony is a former Commando Captain in the Australian Special Forces. His specialty was designing, planning and leading hostage rescue missions. After a book on entrepreneurship by Richard Branson 'fell into his lap', Anthony instantly fell in love with the notion of being able to transform a blank sheet of paper into a successful entrepreneurial venture that could solve real world problems. A 15 year entrepreneurial journey saw him create, grow and sell some great businesses. Yet it has been his failures.…..plenty of failure, where his real business and life lessons stem from.

    Anthony is most at home working as the architect of strategy and builder of high performance team culture Rallying talented and motivated humans towards a shared purpose is what is loves to do most in life.   • Dr. Callum Scott is an award-winning economic geologist with a distinguished academic background from the Camborne School of Mines (UK). He has extensive experience in South America and Western Australia, focusing on porphyry Cu-Mo and Komatiite NiS deposits. Currently, Dr. Scott is pursuing an LLM in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability and a certificate in Corporate Finance while working full-time.

    He holds a PhD in Geology, an MSc in Mining Geology, and a BSc in Applied Geology, all from Camborne School of Mines. His research on porphyry-breccia-hosted mineral deposits at El Teniente in Chile has been pivotal.

    Professionally, Dr. Scott is an Exploration Geologist where he supervises a variety of contractors, manages drill schedules, and undertakes high-quality data collection alongside project review and proposal. He has also served as a Security Guard during the COVID-19 pandemic and volunteers as a mentor and postgraduate supervisor.

    Dr. Scott’s training includes Leapfrog Fundamentals, pXRF Radiation Safety, and First Aid certifications. He holds driving licenses in the UK and Western Australia and has completed advanced 4WD training. His geological skills span advanced petrography, geochemical analysis, and the use of analytical tools like QEMSCAN®️ and EPMA.

    With strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, Dr. Scott excels in interpreting complex data and collaborating on multidisciplinary projects. He is a member of the Camborne School of Mines Association and the Society of Economic Geologists.

  • Charles is a visionary entrepreneur and leader in the global hospitality industry, After completing a private education in England, which saw him add academic achievement to his extensive familial hospitality experience, Charles embarked upon the start of what has become a dynamic and exciting career within the luxury hospitality sector. 

    In 2016, Charle’s founded Foxhole Holdings Ltd., a Hospitality investment and Management Company dedicated to curating innovative lifestyle projects. Under his leadership, Foxhole rapidly expanded its international footprint, between the UAE, UK, Portugal, and Ibiza, overseeing acclaimed venues such as STK, O Beach Club, Toy Room, and Cirque to name a few. He grew Foxholes profile to 22 units.. Charlie launched LIVIT Hospitality Management, focusing more on the UAE and Asia markets in collaboration with Foxhole. Through strategic partnerships with major government asset owners like Meraas, Nakheel and IMKAN. LIVIT achieved remarkable growth with iconic home-grown Dubai brands such as Cove Beach scaling internationally across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa and India.

  • Miss Kanoknipa Phumgosol (Tam) has a wealth of experience in the residential and luxury hospitality sectors. Through her work with Shower Master Co., Ltd from 1992 to 1997, she contributed to prestigious projects like the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Peninsula Riverside Hotel. After selling the company, she expanded her expertise in Italy, working with Sofit srl and Promemoria in the interior design and woodworking sectors.

    In 2010, leveraging over 10 years of industry experience, Tam founded Tam Amodio HK Company in Hong Kong, specializing in Bangkok property investment. In 2013, she established Advance Property Enterprise Co Ltd and Deluxe Property Development Co Ltd, now merged into APE. Partnering with AD ASIA Consulting Co Ltd, Tam develops high-level properties for the luxury market, including projects like Downtown 49 and Pridee Luxe Residence, set for completion in 2024.

    Now as a Partner in ThaiGer Ventures she is using her extensive network in identifying projects and opportunities in their collaboration with The ALFA Group..

  • Calvin is the CEO-Director of ThaiGer Venture (HK) Limited a well-established Strategic Partner of ALFA's.   

    He has been in the Asia Pacific region for the past 35 years, having worked in Dubai, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and then settling in and operating out of Hong Kong for the past 25 years. 

    As a serial entrepreneur, he has owned and operated a wide range of businesses from Food and Beverage, High-level IT support and maintenance and also most recently the provision of services within the Corporate Secretarial, Legal, and Accounting space. 

    Calvin specialises in the development of businesses across a wide range of disciplines, from start-ups to established companies, with a focus on those seeking to further expand their business portfolio through restructuring, acquisition, and private/corporate funding.

Our EMEA Team

  • With nearly four decades of experience within the International Real Estate sector across the UK, the rest of Europe, US, Middle East and Asia, Glenn has not only developed a huge depth of knowledge within the Business Development and Marketing sphere, but he has also gathered an equally impressive network of contacts on a global basis. 

    The addition of exposure to both capital sourcing and some commodities trading opportunities, following his 18 years based in Dubai, means he is now well established as ALFA's principal business developer across EMEA, with a particular focus within the GCC region.

  • Stephen previously worked for Price Waterhouse and a number of financial institutions in Europe and Asia including UBS, Credit Suisse and Nomura. He has been involved in raising finance through the equity capital markets for over 25 years including private equity and pre-IPO investment in Europe, the UK and Asia. He was Head of Equity Capital Markets in Asia for several investment banks before moving into private equity investments in 2012.

    Stephen also has a track record in resort residential property development and financing in Asia including structuring financing for hotel development in India, resort residential development in Bali, Indonesia and Thailand as well as residential development in the UK.

    Stephen is now focused on structuring financing opportunities for investment partners in planning and development opportunities combining residential, resort and social housing opportunities in the South East of England and the South of France." 

  • Miryam Mulla, a financial powerhouse with a wealth of experience spanning two decades across diverse industries, from manufacturing to retail, technology, and sports marketing. 

    Miryam's credentials speak volumes: she's a Chartered Accountant, armed with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Financial Studies from Loughborough University. But her true strengths lie in her strategic acumen and her impressive track record of transforming financial operations. 

    In her various roles, Miryam has demonstrated her ability to craft and execute financial strategies, adeptly manage budgets, and provide insightful forecasts and financial analysis. Her expertise extends to critical areas such as risk management, compliance, and internal audit. 

    Currently, Miryam wears multiple hats. She serves as an Operational Advisor at IvyTS, a technology and training firm with a strong human-centric approach. Her journey with IvyTS includes overseeing a management buyout, implementing a stabilization strategy, and navigating international acquisitions. 

    Miryam is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW).

  • Charles is a senior lawyer with a broad commercial and professional background. He has worked in private practice, property and industry, both in the UK, Spain, Belgium and Switzerland. He specialised in delivering freelance, flexible, in-house legal consulting to companies requiring an emphasis on international work, involving a range of European languages. 

    Key skills include negotiating, drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements and contracts, whilst always ensuring compliance with current regulations. 

    Alongside his native English, he is also fluent in Spanish, having previously lived and worked in Spain and having gained a wide experience of Spanish business and real estate. In addition Charles has language skills in German, French, Dutch, Portuguese and Italian, in that order of proficiency. 

    He is currently based in Dubai where he works with our MENA Team. 

    His studies saw him graduate from the College of Law, Lancaster Gate, London.

  • Ian has gained over forty years of Real Estate experience with twenty of those years based in Central London and another twenty years based in Dubai. This has brought him a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the Residential Property Market, which he has put to good use both for himself and on behalf of his many clients. 

    This journey started in London as an equity partner within a Real Estate business, before the entrepreneur in him decided to form his own company, Hollingdale Kane Real Estate. Seeking to gain more International exposure, Ian moved to Dubai in 2004 and has since managed numerous brokerage teams, at the likes of Oceanview, Asteco, Chestertons, LuxuryProperty.com and AA Properties. 

    His 20 years in Dubai has led to numerous high-profile sales including land, villa and apartment sales, most notably on Palm Jumeirah, totalling in excess of AED 1 billion. 

    In addition, Ian is currently working within the ALFA EMEA Team to help provide his clients with ‘Funding Solutions’ for the many projects they have across the GCC region and beyond. This has become a significant focus recently for entrepreneurial clients with substantial asset bases, now seeking innovative solutions.

  • Law Solicitor specializing in Property – Nicolas Barrington Peace

    Consultant Practising Solicitor for Osmond and Osmond Solicitors in Temple London, specialising in property and corporate matters and private client work. Previously senior partner of a medium sized practice just outside London. 

    Nicolas has a large network of contacts in the property, legal and investment markets established over several years and brings not only his legal experience of over 40 years to any business but also an entrepreneurial approach gained from his involvement in various wide ranging and diverse fields of business.

    His main client base consists of property developers and investors and he also acts for private lending companies dealing with securitising their loans.

    He has previously run his own bridging loan company with former partners and been involved in the structuring of new lending companies for clients..

  • After completing his Doctorate from Oxford University, George worked in the education sector teaching for a number ofyears. Increasingly he found himself drawn towards the early interest that was developing within what is now regarded as the ESG space. He has subsequently been working in ESG-related projects for the past 25 years in Hong Kong, both in not-for-profit organizations and for-profit organizations.

       •2015: Established Stop Fish Bombing (SFB), an NGO dedicated to developing technology for the detection and location of fish bombs using hydrophones (underwater sound sensors). SFB was a partnership with Scubazoo(in Malaysia) and ShotSpotter (in California). In Malaysia, we worked closely with DHI. •2017: Co-organized the Sustainable Seafood Symposium in Hong Kong together with Jacqui Dixon and ADM Capital Foundation. This led to the formation of the Hong Kong Sustainable Seafood Coalition.

     •2019: He coordinated all the key parties to the agreement between the Government of Timor-Leste and Mura Technology that will establish a chemical recycling facility that can reprocess all of the plastic waste generated in Timor-Leste and convert it to saleable hydrocarbons (crude oil effectively). This project will use the revenues from sale of products to fund the collection of waste from the environment in Timor-Leste for the feedstock. 

    •2021: He founded a startup dedicated to achieving better procurement outcomes for seafood for both buyers and sellers. Trusted Seafood is close to launch now. 

    George has a 1st class degree in Physics and a Doctorate in Atomic Physics both awarded by Oxford University (UK)

  • Wayne is a results-driven professional with over 30 years of experience in the sealant and adhesive industry. Throughout his career, he has held several senior roles with multinational manufacturers, including serving as Sales Director for a major group of companies, where he primarily managed clients across Europe.

    For the past 12 years, Wayne has worked as a sales consultant, representing numerous large manufacturing companies in Europe and the Far East. He has collaborated with a diverse range of customers, formulating successful sales strategies, and leveraging his exceptional presentation skills to help his clients effectively grow their businesses.

    Wayne is also passionate about the expanding market for sustainable and environmental renewables and is eager to contribute to this evolving sector.

  • Bruce brings extensive experience in global markets, excelling in both expanding existing regions and entering new ones. Initially specializing in Spanish and South American markets, Bruce transitioned into global roles with both UK and Spanish companies, ultimately serving as Global Sales Director for the latter.

    In his most recent role, Bruce played a key part in establishing and developing a business from a Chinese manufacturing base. Fluent in both Spanish and English, and proficient in French and Portuguese, Bruce is highly versatile in international settings.

    Although his primary focus has been on commercial roles, Bruce holds a degree in Business Studies and Marketing. He has consistently been engaged in the marketing aspects of his roles, with strong expertise in LinkedIn and other social media platforms.

    Bruce has successfully pivoted to developing markets for products with sustainable and renewable attributes. With market growth in the coming decade expected to centre on sustainability, Bruce's ability to effectively network with politicians, government bodies, manufacturers, distributors, and end-users positions him as a highly effective leader in new product business development, and a valuable member of our team.

  • An astute Project Delivery & Business Leader, offering 17+ years of experience, growing & supporting oil and gas businesses and their project delivery. Both, an efficient and proactive leader, with expertise in business growth management, operations, and technical project management. 

    A bilingual individual, with a resourceful approach to developing technology & innovative solutions. 

    UG currently lives in Dubai and has worked in 3 continents and 7 countries, driving business growth across Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, through process implementations across the oil and gas well interventions businesses and related projects requiring any other form of well intervention. 

    Academically, UG gained a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Federal University of Technology (Owerri, Nigeria) and several professional certifications. 

    UG is a professional member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), section 103, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

  • Rudolf Batenburg has been a prominent figure in the sealants and adhesives industry since 1983, bringing extensive expertise and leadership to his roles. His career began as an Export Manager for the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions, where he quickly established himself as a key player. By 1992, he advanced to the position of Global Director for one of the largest sealants manufacturers, where he successfully led the company’s international operations until 2012.

    In recognition of his deep technical knowledge and strategic acumen, Rudolf was appointed as Director of Technical Support and Business Development, a role that saw him stationed in Dubai for four years. During this period, he was instrumental in strengthening the company’s sales organization across the MENA region, leveraging his vast experience to drive growth and innovation.

    Currently, Rudolf serves as a consultant, where he continues to think creatively and embrace new challenges. His ability to think outside the box and his forward-thinking approach make him a valuable asset in navigating the ever-evolving landscape of the sealants and adhesives industry.

  • Dr. Bernard Poulin is a visionary leader with a distinguished career in engineering, business, and environmental sustainability.     He founded and leads Cool Earth Environmental Equipment Trading Company LLC, which provides energy-saving solutions for air conditioning systems. Additionally, he founded The SM Group Inc., transforming it from a soil testing firm into a major scientific integration company. Notably, he oversaw hydroelectric projects generating 10,000 megawatts, costing over $12.5 billion.

    Dr. Poulin holds a Doctorate Honoris Causa from New Jersey City University, an OPM 7 from Harvard Business School, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke. His further studies include international business and finance at George Washington University and Harvard Business School.

    He serves as Chairman and CEO of The SM Group Inc., and holds board positions at Seton Hall University, North American Environmental Services Ltd., and Electronic Warfare Associates Canada Ltd. His civic contributions include receiving Polish citizenship and several prestigious awards, and participating in philanthropic initiatives like the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer.
